  • Total Duration: 12 months (44–52 weeks)
  • Training Component:
    • Classroom-based learning focused on workplace culture, ethics, and communication
  • Internship Component:
    • 12 weeks of supervised professional work experience in an Australian organization related to your field
Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the Engineering Professional Year:

🧾 1. Educational Requirements

  • You must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, environmental, etc.).
  • Degree must be completed within the last 4 years.
  • Must meet Australian academic standards/recognition (often CRICOS-registered courses).
Visa Requirements
  • You must hold or have applied for one of the following:
    • Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)
    • Skilled Recognised Graduate Visa (Subclass 476)
    • Bridging Visa A or C with full work/study rights
  • Student Visas (Subclass 500) are generally not accepted for this program.

You also typically need at least 12 months remaining on your visa from the program start date.
